HOW TO MAKE A RESERVATION

To make a reservation for one or more of our three cottages, please follow these easy steps:

STEP 1

Go to our Availabilities page. Scroll down through the calendars and look for an available slot that interests you. Available nights will be the white blocks, unavailable ones in pink. It will look like this:

IMPORTANT: The white and pink blocks represent available and unavailable NIGHTS, not days. Don't make the mistake of counting your check-out date (the day you'll depart to return home) as one of your reserved dates. While your check-in day does count (since you'll be staying that night), your check-out day does not (since someone else could reserve that night after you're gone). That means that a date colored pink can be used as your check-out date, but not as your check-in date.

EXAMPLE: In the calendar above, if you were staying the nights of the 13th and 14th and vacating by noon on the 15th, you would designate your reservation as 9/13-9/14 (two nights)---not as 9/13-9/15 (which we would interpret to mean three nights, checking out on the 16th).

STEP 2

When you know which month you are interested in, click or tap on that month's calendar. It will take you to the actual Reservations Page for that month. At the top is the calendar again (which is NOT clickable). And, right below that, you'll see the nightly rates for that month. It will look similar to this:

Calculate the approximate cost of your stay using the rate card shown. You can also select the blue "View All Rates" button if you wish to compare the rates for the different months and seasons.

Again, the calendar at the top of that page is static, and not interactive. You cannot select your dates on there. Instead, scroll on down to the bottom of the page and enter your reservation information in the blanks provided on the form, as instructed.

STEP 3

At the bottom of the page is the form you will use for submitting a reservation request. Fill in your actual name and your email address, being careful to make sure it is correct, as that is how we will be replying back to you with regard to your request. Optionally, you can also provide a cellphone number which we would only use to provide important alerts (for example, notice of an email we may have sent you that needs your attention). The form then asks for your choice of cottage(s), check-in date, number of nights and check-out date. It looks like this:

Remember, a reservation consists only of the overnights stayed and charged for. The noon check-out day is not included. Therefore, you can use a day shown as pink for your check-out day, just not for a night booked.

Note: You will not be paying at this time. At the time of your arrival, your actual final amount may have other adjustments factored in---pet fees, coupons, parking fees, etc.

Wait a day or two to get an email back from us confirming that we have scheduled your reservation. Look it over to make sure all is correct. Then, reply back to lock it in.

THINGS TO REMEMBER in submitting a request:

*** The "number of nights" includes the day of your check-in but NOT the date of your departure.

*** This is a request for approval, not a real-time booking. We will review it and, once approved, email you back for a confirmation. You should hear back within 24 hours. If you don't, be sure to get in touch with us.

*** You do not need a bank card or payment arrangements at this time. Payment can be made later on, once you get closer to your time of arrival.

*** The calendars do not automatically change in real time as reservations are added, so there may be recent changes that you are not seeing. What may appear open may actually not be. Also, it is important to refresh your browser frequently so that you are seeing the most up-to-date calendars. That would be the most common reason for denial of approval.

*** If you fail to get a popup acknowledging your submission, please let us know immediately. Your request may have failed to go through, and we can help you with that.
